Family Search Account
- Each adult and teen should bring a cell phone, tablet or Chromebook that can access the internet. Some stations are designed for personal device use.

Be sure each individual can log into FamilySearch.org with the devices that you bring.
Family Tree (pedigree chart)
Preparing for the event:
1) Place any records (birth/death certificates, etc.) along with names, dates, places you are aware of or have found into a box or folder. Organize them by family surname, dates, or places. You may choose to bring a notebook with this information. Keep all original material safe. Always use photocopies or digital copies for researching.
3) If starting from scratch and do not have anything in FamilySearch.org
The best first step is to print a pedigree chart and work on your family, parents and grandparents.
Gather everything you can and put it in the chart to bring with you to the event!

2) If you are familiar with FamilySearch. We recommend you enter the knowledge you have gathered into FamilySearch.org ahead of time.
4) You may need to use your cell phone as a copier. Bring a cell phone to take pictures of the material you want to upload to your FamilySearch.org website.

- Memories App – Download – An easy way to upload pictures, documents, journals and information to your FamilySeach.org account.

- Take a Name App – Download – Find Temple Ready names and pushes them to your FamilySearch.org Account. Super Fast and Easy to use! (Third Party App – by Kinpoint, Inc)
How to use the “Take a Name App”
Take a Name app
a. Download on your cell phone
b. Sign in with your FamilySearch account info.
c. Select “GO” button
d. Discover the Names that are Temple ready!
e. Purchase the App, or Unlock for Free.
f. The system will attempt to locate names ready for the Temple and Push them to your FamilySearch.org account.
g. Once you have names in FamilySearch.org. Go to the Family Search.org App or the website
on a computer to confirm the names and finish the submission. (see next step)
How to finish the Submit a Name and Print from the Submit a Name Station:
1. In Familysearch.org Station or App – go to Recommended Tasks – view details of the selected name – click on “Request” – then click on “Accept”.
2. Go to the Submit a Name Station – login to FamilySearch.org – go to Recommend Tasks – locate name you wish to print – click on view details – then click on Print.
